The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is raising awareness in Bloemfontein about a wellness programme in support of road safety ahead of the festive season.
This started on Monday and runs until Friday (11/11).
The programme focuses on truck drivers who travel long-distance, as well as drivers of vehicles that carry a large number of commuters, like taxis and buses.
People can undergo free health checks relating to high blood pressure, diabetes and eyesight. Furthermore, claims enquiries can be done.
The mobile clinic has a dispensing nurse, as well as an optometrist to prescribe driving glasses – at no cost.
The clinic will be at the N1 Shell Ultra City today (09/11); at the truck stop BP garage opposite Iveco at 1 Kort Street, Ferreira, on Thursday from 09:00 to 13:00; and at the N1 Shell Ultra City on Friday from 14:00 to 18:00.
