The council of the University of the Free State (UFS) approved the lifting of its Covid-19 Regulations and Required Vaccination Policy with immediate effect on Friday (15/07).
This comes almost a month after the declaration made by the government on 22 June that Covid-19 regulations would be repealed. Prof. Francis Petersen, rector and vice-chancellor of the UFS, said after an assessment had been conducted, no Covid-19 cases among staff and students were reported in the past month.
