The crowning of Miss Varsity Plus Size South Africa and Miss Teen Plus Size South Africa is scheduled to take place in Bloemfontein on 29 October.
These pageants, which cater for contestants who are enrolled at high school or an higher education institution, respectively, are held for a sixth time this year. There is still time left to enter for 2022.
Last year’s event saw Kefentse Monchwe from Mafikeng, Rustenburg, being crowned Miss Teen Plus Size South Africa, while Motshidisi Manotsi from Botshabelo took the Miss Varsity Plus South Africa title.
Altogether, there are 24 finalists: 12 entrants per pageant will be chosen to compete for the respective titles.
The crowning ceremonies will be held jointly.
The overall winner of Miss Varsity Plus Size South Africa automatically qualifies to compete in the international Miss Plus World pageant for 2022-’23.
