South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) grant beneficiaries, with gold cards expiring in the next few months, can avoid long queues by switching their payments, free of charge, to a Shoprite Money Market account.
Grant recipients will get up to R100 in Shoprite vouchers when their first Sassa grant of R800 or more is paid into their Money Market account.
Customers can register for this transition by dialling *120*3534#, sending a message through WhatsApp to 087-240-5709, visiting an in-store Money Market counter, or by downloading the Shoprite app onto their mobile device.
Easy to follow instructions to complete the sign-in, as well as downloading a bank confirmation letter, are provided.
