Students must register online

The University of the Free State (UFS) and the Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State, have both announced that only online registration will be in place for 2022 and that walk-ins will not be allowed.


The University of the Free State (UFS) and the Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State, have both announced that only online registration will be in place for 2022 and that walk-ins will not be allowed.

This is aligned with Covid-19 regulations and guidelines.

The CUT stated that it had received about 192 327 applications for undergraduate programmes, while expecting to welcome about 4 677 first-year students.

First-year registration commences today (26/01), while returning students’ registration will start on 3 February.

Students are encouraged to visit cut.ac.za/enrolment-process for details and their application status, or send an email to apply@cut.ac.za.

Registration of first-year students at the UFS, as well as academic advising, will take place from 1 to 11 February. Senior students’ registration runs until Monday (31/01).
