Two table tennis playing sisters, Andile and Lathitha Mahlamvu, are the ones to watch in the sport.
They have proven that they possess a natural talent and are some of the finest players among their peers.
The girls, both learners of the Joe Solomon Primary School in Heidedal, Bloemfontein, are steadily rising to greater heights in table tennis.
Testimony to this prowess is the collection of medals in their cabinet. The sisters have won gold and silver medals, as well as bronze, in various development tournaments they have participated in.
Their individual performance and abilities have seen them represent the Free State nationally and compete in interprovincial tournaments.
Andile and Lathitha are set to this year compete in the U13 and U10 categories of competitions, respectively.
The pair has displayed great potential to be included in provincial and national teams for participation in future tournaments and are expected to be among the star players who will be on the podium often, rewarded for their merited performance.
