Music lovers in Bloemfontein can expect a treat on 6 and 7 May with Amanda Black’s performance at the Windmill Casino at 19:00.

The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Amanda Benedicta Antony, says this is part of her tour, the Mnyama Experience, which resonates her stage name.

The two-day event at the casino will serve as a reflection on her five years in the music industry and forms part of celebrating the release of her new album, Mnyama, which was released last year.

The audience can expect songs from this latest album of hers, as well as from her two previous albums, Amazuluand Power.

Amanda Black established herself as a powerhouse in the music industry with her debut, Amazulu, winning various prized awards.

The album attained platinum status after more than 40 000 copies were sold within a few weeks after being released in 2016.

In 2019, she was named the most-streamed artist on Apple Music.

All this success in the industry followed rejection when she participated in the 11th season of Idols SA in 2015, and evidently this experience did not dampen her spirit.

Amanda Black is now celebrated internationally and she continues rising in stature in the music industry.

  • Tickets for the event early in May are available at the Windmill Casino at R350.
