The staging of Bloem Show will align with adjusted Covid-19 regulations as announced by Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa on 22 March.
Patrons will be obliged to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination or, as an alternative, proof of a negative test no older than 72 hours to be able to access the hosting venue.
Elmarie Prinsloo, chief executive officer of Bloem Show, said the adjustment in regulations made it possible to host the 137th show since the inception of this consumer exhibition in 1883.
“We are delighted. We will gladly welcome all visitors, exhibitors and participants within the newly announced
Covid-19 regulations, which allows 50% capacity of the showgrounds,” said Prinsloo.
According to this, the host venue will be able to allow 15 000 people.
The ten-day event has a reputation for attracting more than 100 000 visitors countrywide and an average of 400 outdoor and indoor exhibitors in the commercial section, representing companies nationally and internationally.
This year’s Bloem Show will be held from 27 April to 7 May.
