The power of music and poetry as a creative art that stimulates the mind and conveys emotions will be on

full display during the Soul and Poetry Music show in Bloemfontein. This extravaganza is set to take place in the André Huguenet Theatre, Pacofs, on Friday 21 October.

This will be an evening full of emotion and laughter for lovers of both music and poetry. It makes provision for live performances by soul and RnB artists, and poets as a final touch.

This jam-packed show features a line-up of talented poets and musicians, born and bred in Mangaung.

Poets billed to perform include Thope, Icebound, Patience Labane and Siphelele “Intomb’omxhosa” Khaphetshu.

The line-up of musicians features former Muvhango and Leshano actor and RnB musician, Shayne Nketsi, and Mr-SPL, the 2021-’22 Best Afro Pop Artist of the Year: Central Music Award winner.

The show will see the return of two Bloemfontein Afro-pop bands, Kaya and Nateaze. Originally a nine-piece male group, Nateaze now has four of the original members.

The band is well remembered for hits like “Ntombi”, “Teboho Ke Mang”, “Abuti Thabiso” and “Segegethe” in the early 2000s.
