Free State tourism product owners are encouraged to participate in the annual domestic tourism promotion campaign Sho’t Left Travel Week.
This year’s campaign will take place from 5 to 11 September, coinciding with Tourism Month.
Registration to take part closes on 23 August.
Last year, 16 establishments from across the province participated, according to the provincial Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea).
These establishments showcased what the Free State has to offer, ranging from amazing landscapes to adventure and heritage.
The benefits of participating include a toolkit and collateral support designed to offer important elements to promote businesses and discounted deal packages, as well as increased provincial visibility to showcase offerings.
The campaign is aimed at promoting affordable travel, while providing product owners and the tourism trade with an opportunity to re-attract South Africans to the culture of travelling in their own country.
