The Angel Foundation presents the once-in-a-lifetime centenary celebration of Heidedal.

This suburb, formerly known as Cairo, is one of Bloemfontein’s oldest and has a rich history.

A series of events will be held on 4 and 5 March to celebrate this milestone.

A wealth of local artists, poets and storytellers will showcase Heidedal’s diverse culture and traditions spanning over 100 years.

The foundation has teamed up with Make You Dance Entertainment, Zeelow Productions, 051 Free Stance and Udynet to organise this landmark event.

The celebrations will kick off with an elegant gala that will give residents the opportunity to stroll down the rich stairs of history and nostalgia.

The event will be graced with the likes of the Kei Korana King, the royal council and the renowned poet Tereska Muishond.

An electric line-up of local DJs can be expected at this centenary celebration.
