Following inspection in June, the provincial Department of Labour’s Inspection and Enforcement Services temporarily closed the facility due to non-compliance to safety and health.

The premises was deemed unsafe. The priority of the inspectorate is to safeguard the health and safety of employees and visiting members of the community. The facility was in ruin after work to upgrade, convert and construct new additions, which had been started in 2018, came to a standstill in 2020. having started in 2018.
