Ranked among the top in the World Fitness Federation (WFF), three Bloemfontein-based body builders are gearing up to flex their muscles at four international competitions.
The trio Z Bokang Nare, Tsholofelo Kotoyi, and Moeketsi Mosese Z were selected for their stellar performances in individual categories at this year’s WFF South Africa Bloem Classic Men’s and Women Championship final held in Bloemfontein in April, during the Bloem Show.
Nare placed second in the juniors and U23 jeans model category.
“I’m delighted with my first-time selection for an international stage, and I’m working to build on this success,” said Nare.
Kotoyi took first place in the Bermuda category, senior men’s division.
“This was my first-ever contest and first-ever win of a prestigious accolade,” said Kotoyi.
The two international events they qualified for are outside the Africa continent. They are the WFF Asia Pacific in the Philippines on 1 September, and the WFF Universe in Las Vegas, America, on 20 October.
The continental showpiece, the African League of Champions, is set to take place in Zambia on 30 November.
The pair of Kotoyi and Nare will make their debut, while Mosese will make his second appearance following his success in Indonesia in 2022.
Their predicament is a struggle in securing funds for flight and accommodation, ranging from R40 000 and R70 000 for competitions in the Philippines and America.
