Taken on Saturday (28/01) this snapshot shows the predicament faced by motorists on this road in ward 11, Bloemfontein. It seems like a pipe dream that this badly damaged section of road, saturated with raw sewage spillages, will be attended to – as is the case with numerous streets and roads fraught with sinkholes, posing danger to motorists and residents alike. Residents in this ward of the Mangaung Metro Municipality have lately resorted to barricading the road, using debris, to try and get the attention of the relevant authorities.Photo: Teboho Setena
