South Africa has once again been selected as the host of the highly anticipated African Energy Week (AEW).
The African Energy Chamber made this announcement on 24 January.
This event, scheduled to take place in Cape Town from 18 to 21 October, is poised to bring Africa’s energy leaders and global stakeholders together for intense dialogue on the African energy sector.
With over 600 million people still without access to electricity, the continent requires immediate action if it is to realise its socio-economic development objectives.
Potential attendees include more than 175 international speakers and 21 ministers from across the world.
This year’s delegates can expect a strong line-up of panel discussions, investor forums, networking functions and deal-signing ceremonies covering the African energy sector and value chain.
The conference will continue efforts to see energy poverty eradicated by 2030.
