Jumbo Wholesale SA, one of the leading in the business-to-business sector, has handsomely rewarded several customers, keeping its promise of its 40th birthday that the public could win big prizes.

Celebrating the milestone, the wholesaler ran a campaign worth R3 million to reward loyal customers for their valuable support which has resulted in sustainable growth.

The biggest reward of the birthday extravaganza was the 34 brand-new Suzuki bakkies giveaway to lucky customers, one winner per store countrywide.

These vehicles were in addition to the giveaway of coupons which thousands of customers won during the birthday celebration.

Clients had to spend R500 or more at any Jumbo store nationwide, to stand the chance of winning coupons and to further qualify to win one of the 34 bakkies. The celebratory campaign reached its pinnacle on Friday, 5 July, with draws held of the 34 brand-new bakkies at the various stores.

The Bloemfontein’s Jumbo store grand finale draw was also on Friday at its premises in OR Tambo Road (formerly Church Street).

In total six finalists qualified for the sought-after prize of a bakkie.

They were Peter Moutzouris (APM Motors) Dealesville, Irene Retsinas (Central Super Store) Bloemfontein, Corné Buitendag (Iets van Als) Bloemfontein, Abiyo Miticu Alemu (Barekot Wholesalers) Bloemfontein, Mohamed Ali (Triple Trading) Bloemfontein and Themba Magaula (Bafu Continental Stores) in Zastron.

Ali became one of the proud owners of a brand-new bakkie after striking it lucky during Jumbo Bloemfontein store draw, and thus he drove home with the vehicle.

The other finalists received consolation of a R5 000 voucher each.

“Jumbo, Cash and Carry Stores celebrated the milestone of its 40th birthday with customers, valuing their contribution to our success. The R3 million campaign, giveaway 34 bakkies and coupons, was meant to thank every customer, as we believe customers are the backbone of our business,” said John Sethuoa, manager of Jumbo Bloemfontein.
