Social grant recipients using South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) or Postbank cards that are expected to expire during March 2023, are to collect their new Sassa or Postbank Gold cards at their nearest Post Office branch.
The collection process started on Monday (13/03).
The process is only applicable to grant recipients whose cards are expiring during this month. Grant recipients using these cards that expire later this year, will be notified when to collect new cards, as those cards will remain valid until further notice. Mondays and Tuesdays are dedicated to the issuance of the cards to Older Persons Grant recipients, and persons who receive Disability Grants.
Wednesdays to Saturdays are dedicated to the collection of new Sassa or Postbank Gold cards.
Social grant recipients must bring along the following: a South African identity document, and the current Sassa or Postbank Gold card expiring in March.
