Suspense awaits audiences when second-year drama students at the University of the Free State (UFS) perform The Curious Case of the Lost Locks at the start of June.
Jasiri, a feisty young warrior, fights for survival in a nightmare created by her jealous aunt. All the terrifying creatures from her childhood converge to consume her brave spirit. Shapeshifters, snakes, spiders, bats, beasts, worms and witches run amok in Jasiri’s realm. Will she endure this evil onslaught?
The production will run from 1 to 3 June in the Scaena Theatre on the campus of the UFS. Shows start at 18:00.
Parental guidance is advised for audience members younger than 13 years. Entry costs R40 per adult, R30 for learners and varsity students and R25 for pensioners. For a group of ten, each audience member pays R25.

Adults need to upload either a copy of their vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 PCR test result or a negative Covid-19 rapid test result to the UFS website. Alternatively, proof of exemption from the vaccine due to health or other reasons can be uploaded. Please allow 48 hours for verification.

A a QR code that will allow access to the UFS campus will be issued. A vaccination certificate only has to be uploaded once; the QR code is valid for the rest of the year. However, PCR and rapid test results need to be uploaded every time and may not be older than 72 hours.
Children younger than 12 years need to provide their birth certificates.
Inside theatres, masks are compulsory.
