The Bloem in Concert 2.0 event is set to enthral the audience with the cream of the crop of local artists sharing the stage.
This spectacle will start at 18:30 on 18 March, with doors opening at 18:00 in the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein.
The event, presented by the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (Pacofs) in conjunction with versatile producer Marlou Strydom, will showcase local talent and celebrate music in Bloemfontein. The first concert of this kind was held last year.
“Post Covid-19, the event will unleash the rich talent of musicians in Bloemfontein,” said Strydom.
“Musically we bring creativity and a different style, classic and rock feel, than last year’s concert.”
Featuring an 11-piece band and 12 of Bloemfontein’s best vocalist, the concert will capture the essence of music in Bloemfontein.
Talented artists billed to perform are Valkyrie Inc., Tharo, Ryk Kleinhans, Naledi Mohapi, Martinette Spoelstra, Ilse Fourie, Du Preez Stoltz, Suzanne Strauss and Anton Esterhuyse.
Talented and versatile music conductor, percussionist and orchestrator Heinrich Lategan will be the director.
“I am very excited about the return of this production, as it is a great way to celebrate the artists and audience of Bloemfontein,” said Lategan.
“There is so much talent in this city of ours that it must find a space to breathe, and what better place than the beautiful Sand du Plessis Theatre.”
Concert tickets can be bought on webtickets.co.za or at the Pacofs booking office at R150 per person, or at R100 per person in the case of group bookings of five or more audience members.
