A security guard from Bloemfontein realised a dream he had since youth when a deep house music track he produced was officially released.
Isaac Litshibane (39) just released a single track titled “Lengoma”, meaning “this song”.
On this project he collaborated with Bloemfontein-based singer Teboho Mbanya, also known as Lady Tee.
When Litshibane is not managing his post at the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein during the day, he focuses on making and producing music on his smartphone during his spare time. According to the talented producer, it took two days to produce the song on his smartphone.
The deep house track was released earlier this month on different platforms, including Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Tidal.
“So far, the feedback on ‘Lengoma’ has been mostly positive,” says Litshibane.
For Litshibane it is a long-time dream come true. Since an early age growing up in Theunissen and listening to the late South African pop star Brenda Fassie and Chicco Twala, Litshibane dreamed of stardom. These two great South African musicians are well-known for writing and producing classic songs and winning awards.
“Music is all I live by. It’s part of me, has always been and will always be,” he says.
According to him, the single track is for everyone, “that is at home alone and thinking about going out. The song just wants to make you go outside, dance, feel good and come alive.”
Litshibane hopes that the dance track will open doors for him in the music industry.
“We as independent artists struggle. I hope that this will open doors. Maybe someone hears the track and sign us. I hope, I wish that I get signed.
“I see myself on different stages in different parts of the world doing what I love the best – making music,” says Litshibane.
